Contract Administration
A Construction Contract is useless unless it’s administered properly. What if you or the Contractor want to make a change or substitution? How do you manage payments? Who’s responsible for making sure it’s actually getting built according to plan?
We have a substantial amount of design and construction experience, keen observation skills, and know how to communicate and negotiate well. Although we feel the person who has the most intimate knowledge of the project documents should be the one providing CA services, we also have an ability to interpret the intent of construction documents we didn’t prepare.
We’re very comfortable on a construction site and work well with even the most aggressive contractors. We believe in fairness on all sides of the table and understand the importance of setting the tone of the project right off the bat.
We believe the secret to successfully providing this service and surviving information overload is being disciplined, having an organizational system that’s easy to use and actually works, and pay attention to daily record keeping. (That and properly budgeting for these services in the first place.)
